JINJA ASIAN KITCHEN, DUBAI - A MELTING POT OF SOUTH EAST ASIAN CUISINE

Craving for South-East Asian food , yet confused which country's dish would satisfy your appetite or wanting to source one each from the delectable variety the South-East Asian cuisine has to offer, then it's a good idea to head out to Jinja Asian Kitchen.
Clean, straight lined modern decor with hints of South - East Asian ornamentation here and there, Jinja Asian Kitchen provides a suitable atmosphere for a cosy têtê a têtê .
Certain nuances in the decor is worth mentioning, like the Stunning Buddha effigy which rolls out the South-East Asian essence as soon as you step in.

The menu in the shape of a bamboo, sets the South-EastAsian tone straight away. To top it up a bowl
of prawn crackers is the perfect crunchy start to a flavoursome meal.
The menu is varied and tries to cover most of the South -East Asian popular dishes. I started with the
best seller Tom Kha Soup which is a very known spicy, lemony Thai Soup with coconut milk. I loved the way each flavour distinctly popped out not overpowering one another.

Pairing the Soup with the chef's recommendation starter Wasabi Prawns was a very good idea. A bite into the very fresh and soft prawns as they melted in the mouth with a light crunch, made me go back to the bowl again and again.
This most requested starter, by Jinja Asian Kitchen's regular patrons is resplendent with creaminess and a hint of mustard synonymous taste, typical of the Wasabi. Don't miss out on this starter whenever you visit Jinja Asian Kitchen.

They also have a list of Dim Sums to try from. I chose to taste the Chicken Sui Mai brought steaming in a bamboo basket to the table.

For the Main Course I was swayed by the always in demand Nasi Goreng. I never seem to tire of this dish & Mr. S is always picking this out from the menu.

By this time the tummy was stretched a little beyond its capacity and I decided to let go of the delectable Black Cod with Meso, for my next visit. This is another must relish dish which is scrumptious yet very healthy.
I have yet not been able to solve the puzzle how I always manage to gorge on the sweet eats  no matter how full I may feel.
The finalé was with a luxurious home made squashy mushy cheese cake with mouthwatering mangoes and a kafir lime twist.

This quaint little tea pot was used to serve green tea to Mr. S and I really liked it.
